2013-2018 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins Diesel Cooler & Throttle Valve EGR Delete Kit

The DynoVox 2013-2018 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins Diesel Cooler & Throttle Valve EGR Delete Kit is designed to enhance performance by eliminating the EGR cooler and throttle valve. This kit improves airflow, reduces carbon buildup, and increases engine power and efficiency. It comes in two versions: the EGR Throttle Valve Delete Kit, which removes the throttle valve, and the EGR Delete Kit, which eliminates the full EGR system, including the cooler. Both options are engineered for the 6.7L Cummins engine, preventing common EGR system issues and improving fuel economy and engine longevity.

Key Features:

  • Enhanced Performance: Eliminates the EGR cooler and throttle valve to improve airflow, increase horsepower, and boost torque.
  • Reduced Carbon Build-Up: Prevents carbon accumulation in the engine, reducing maintenance and extending engine life.
  • Improved Fuel Efficiency: Increases fuel efficiency by removing the restrictive EGR system, allowing for better combustion and overall engine optimization.

What are the benefits of deleting the EGR valve?

Deleting the EGR system reduces carbon buildup and improves airflow to the engine. This will result in better performance and you may experience improved throttle response, increased horsepower, and greater fuel efficiency. Increased Reliability: Another benefit is increased reliability.

How To Install?

1. Disconnect the battery and ensure the engine is completely cool.
2. Remove the EGR valve and cooler assembly.
3. Install the anodized block-off plate.
4. Replace or reroute the coolant hose as needed.
5. Loosen or remove fasteners and clamps securing the existing exhaust components.
6. Install the front and rear block-off plates.
7. Connect the new throttle valve pipe and any associated components.
8. Torque all bolts and clamps to manufacturer specifications.
9. Update the Engine Control Module (ECM) as required.
10. Reconnect the battery.
11. Start the engine and perform a thorough leak inspection.

Frequently asked questions
Why delete the throttle valve on a 6.7 Cummins?
Sometimes the throttle valve can move unintentionally to a completely or partially close setting which leads to cutting off the air supply to your Cummins and suffocating it. This can cost you power, shut your engine down entirely, or even cause catastrophic damage if it happens at higher RPM.
What happens when you delete EGR cooler?
Installing an EGR delete kit reduces costs on repairs and fuel costs, as well as decreases soot deposits that an EGR valve produces. Disabling it prevents harmful contaminants from being reintroduced back into the engine, resulting in problems.
Does EGR delete increase horsepower?
This will result in better performance and you may experience improved throttle response, increased horsepower, and greater fuel efficiency. Increased Reliability: Another benefit is increased reliability.
Does the engine run better without an EGR?
The engine will run better without it but will produce more smog. Over a long period of time the higher combustion temperature can cause valve damage.
